Ghana’s Agyemang-Badu: Zambia didn’t deserve a win

Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu feels that the Black Stars should have carried the day in their 2014 World Cup qualifier against Zambia in Ndola, which ended 1-0 in favour of the Chipolopolo.

The Udinese player said Ghana put up a remarkable performance in the second half, although they were a goal down, but they were unlucky.

“They [Zambia] didn’t deserve to win because we played all the game in the second half but that is football for you,” the 21-year-old told reporters after their loss to the Chipolopolo.

“They played well in the first half and we came back into the game in the second half and we played our own football.”

“We created so many chances and even a penalty but it couldn’t work,” the 2009 Under-20 World Cup winner said.

The midfielder said that they now need to put the game behind them and focus on the matches ahead.

“That’s football for you. We have to keep our heads up and concentrate on the remaining matches.
