RIYADH: For the sixth time Alhamrani Fuchs Petroleum Saudi Arabia Ltd. sponsors a tournament at the Dirab Golf & Country Club that never fails to attract a full field.
This time 110 players are to tee it up on Friday in chase of fabulous prizes in kind worth SR75,000. The 2012 Fuchs Golf Championship, an 18-hole individual stroke play competition in three divisions including the ladies, will have a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start.
A giveaway bag of Greg Norman polo shirt, cap and a sleee of golf balls awaits each player at the registration area on Friday. Golf bags and clubs are among the major prizes to be won in addition to trophies.
The Alhamrani Fuchs sponsorship was facilitated by the company’s regional manager Masood Ali Khan, who is expected to attend the event along with Dirab Golf Committee Chairman Nasser Uddin Siddiqui.
The event is taking place ahead of a busy month of March with four tournaments lined up, according to DGCC Golf Manager Bouchaib El Jadiani.
