DUBAI, Jan 30 (Reuters) - A fire shut a 54,000 barrel per
day (bpd) heavy oil unit at Kuwait's Shuaiba refinery on
Wednesday but the blaze was quickly put out, a spokesman for
Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) said.
"There has been a fire, but it's killed now," the spokesman
said. "The heavy-oil unit is shut. There is no injury and no
impact to the rest of the refinery."
He said the shut down unit was likely to come back online in
the next 24 hours.
