After playing itsy-bitsy role in films like YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI, YAARIYAN, MAIN TERA HERO, KUCH KUCH LOCHA HAI, etc, hottie Evelyn Sharma is now gearing up for her first solo lead role in the upcoming film ISHQEDARRIYAAN. Despite being part of the above-mentioned successful films, Evelyn counts ISHQEDARRIYAAN as her debut film.

"Yes it's kind of my debut film. I mostly did multi-starrers with big cast. They were comedy flicks. I have done known films like YAARIYAN, YEH JAWANI HAI DEEWANI, etc. Since ISHAQEDAARIYAN is my own film, it's a different feeling. You will get to see new side of Evelyn but it's not like I am super anxious or nervous. Although, there is lot of pressure as a performer, because all this while I had a 20-minute role and now I have to perform for 2 long hours."

Having said that, Evelyn clears that her role in KUCH KUCH LOCHA HAI was equally significant. "My role in KUCH KUCH LOCHA HAI was a parallel lead. In fact I had more screen time than Sunny. It was performance-based and great," says the pretty actress.

Besides playing the lead in ISHQEDARRIYAAN, Evelyn will be seen essaying the role of a small-town Indian girl for the first time. "Yes after portraying NRI, sexy and cute girl in several films, I am playing a simple girl from small town of Himachal Pradesh for the first time. My character is very chatty. In fact, 70 percent dialogues are mine. So it was fun."

However, ask the German-based actress what all challenges she faced with this role and she says, "Of course it's a change and challenge for me. As an actor you have to grow. I come from non-Hindi speaking background and have learnt the language year and half ago. I always dubbed my dialogues and it was fine to have an accent in other films. So this time around it was a challenge being the lead actor and speak Hindi."

Also starring Mahaakshay Chakraborty ISHQEDARRIYAAN is a romantic drama directed by V. K. Prakash, presented by Chariot Films and Metro Studios LLC (Georgia) and produced by Rajesh Banga. And the film is set to hit the screens this Friday, May 29, 2015.
