Leading European stock markets closed higher on Thursday, with London's FTSE 100 index of top companies up 0.20 percent to 5,779.42 points.
In Frankfurt, the Dax 30 climbed 0.19 percent to 7,290.02 points, while in Paris the CAC 40 added 0.72 percent to 3,439.32 points.
