Erotic Bollywood movie gets UAE release

Erotic Bollywood thriller Jism 2 has been cleared by the UAE local censors with an A (Adult) certification and will be released on Thursday, local daily Gulf News reported on Wednesday.

Industry insiders who feared whether the film starring porn star Sunny Leone will be banned in the UAE during Ramadan, expressed happiness as it secured the rights, the report added. 

“We are relieved that the National Media Council [the body which approves films in the UAE] has cleared the film and the audiences here get to watch it at the same time along with the viewers in India,” the daily quoted Mahi Golchin Depala, Managing Partner of Phars Films as saying. .

Phars Films along with Al Nisr Cinema Film is distributing Jism 2 - the sequel to 2003 blockbuster Jism - in the UAE.

Previously films such as Black Swan, Love And Other Drugs and Sex And The City were banned in the UAE due to ‘sexually explicit’ content.

Following suit of its bold prequel, Jism 2 is sure to be sensually-charged. In the new movie, Sunny Leone plays a porn star Izna – a honey trap hired by a cop (Arunoday Singh) to track down an elusive assassin (Randeep Hooda), the report said.
 
Earlier, adult comedy Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum starring Tusshar Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh, also got cleared without heavy editing by censors.
