EGC hoping second Xerox qualifier can raise yet more money

The second qualifying round of the 16th Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge (XCGC) will be played at the Emirates Golf Club’s (EGC) Faldo Course on Thursday, April 24.

Multiple two-person corporate teams will participate, with the winners competing in the two-day grand final at the Tower Links Golf Club and Al Hamra Golf Club in Ras Al Khaimah.

Xerox Emirates general manager Andrew Horne said: “We have had a great kick-off to this year’s challenge with 96 executives participating in the first qualifier at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, and we are keen to see the numbers swell with each progressive qualifier.

“We are proud to support the Noor Dubai Foundation and help bring a mobile eye camp to a developing part of the world.”

The Challenge aims to raise $60,000 (Dh220,200), which is the cost of one mobile eye camp.

Organisers have added one more qualifying round for a total of 12, which will be played at leading golf courses across the Middle East and South Africa.

After this round, qualifiers will be held in Doha, Abu Dhabi, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa.

Golfers can visit www.xeroxcgc.com for further details on the competition and how they can enter.
