An international survey has revealed that Dubai is the world’s second highest recruiter, UAE daily newspaper The National, reported on Wednesday.
The survey carried out by recruiter Robert Half over more than 2000 international finance executives, showed that 52 % of those questioned in Dubai intend to recruit full-time employees before the end of the year.
Brazil tops the list for international recruiters with 57%, the report added.
According to James Sayer, director of Robert Half UAE, such results resemble the confidence that is surging back in Dubai’s financial sector.
“We have been experiencing uplift in confidence for a number of firms within the UAE [this year]," he was quoted by The National as saying.
"Many local companies are hiring in response to strong growth and demand in the region," Sayer added.
The survey has also shown that many of the world’s larger multinational firms are putting off plans to hire more staff because of Europe’s continuing uncertainty.
