A weather warning has been issued across the UAE for Thursday, with rain forecast to run through the evening into the night, according to the official weather forecaster, National Center of Meteorology & Seismology (NCMS).
The rain is likely to continue into Friday morning, accompanied by a drop in temperatures, NCMS said.
"A gradual significant fall in temperatures is expected. Winds will be moderate to fresh, strong at times due to cloud activity over the sea, causing blowing dust over some internal areas, and reducing the horizontal visibility. The sea will be rough to very rough in general," the NCMS forecast said.
The maximum temperature in the internal areas of the UAE will be around 29C, while the minimum would be 15C.
However, it will be a little cooler in the coastal areas, with temperatures touching a maximum of 34C and a minimum of 18C.
ON FRIDAY
Partly cloudy weather with a chance of rain can be expected on Friday especially during the morning, NCMS said. Temperatures are expected to fall further during the weekend.
According to the weather forecaster: "Winds will be moderate to fresh in general. There are chances of reduced horizontal visibility at times. The wind will decrease by evening and night time and the sea will be rough."
