Most parts of Dubai, Sharjah and Al Ain saw rains through the night and Monday morning.
The National Center of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) reported the weather would remain the same throughout Monday.
Meanwhile, water ponds on highways and slippery roads have already resulted in slow traffic on Monday morning.
Traffic on the busy Sharjah-Dubai highway was moving extremely slowly early Monday and is expected to build-up traffic during the peak rush hours.
Slow traffic was reported on Dubai’s Hessa Street, Al Khail Road and other main roads.
Officials have urged motorists to drive carefully.
According to NCMS, the northern and eastern areas of the UAE will also receive scattered rainfall.
