Justin Bieber extends Mideast tour to include Muscat date

Justin Bieber performs at the O2 on February 17, 2013 in Dublin, Ireland.

Teen singing phenomenon Justin Bieber has added Muscat to his tour of the Middle East, ALIVE Entertainment announced on Tuesday.

The Boyfriend singer will appear in the Omani capital on May 6, just two days after his Dubai concert.

Gordon MacKenzie, of ALIVE Entertainment said: “It is wonderful to bring such young talent to Muscat. Thank you to everyone for your support, we will be bringing more great acts to Muscat soon.”

The platinum selling pop sensation became a worldwide star in 2009 with his debut single One Time after being spotted on YouTube.  He was the first artist to have seven songs from a debut album chart on the Billboard Hot 100 with his release My World.

FIRST IN OMAN

The Canadian superstar’s third studio album, My World 2.0 was released in March 2010 and spawned massive top ten singles Baby and Eenie Meenie.

The Gulf is becoming a popular choice for top acts to perform, with the likes of USHER, Madonna and Metallica, all having previously appeared in the UAE. But Justin Bieber will be the first major star to appear in Oman.

Darren Shortt, HiFM Radio, said: “It is going to be an amazing night in Muscat with such a young and talented singer. This will be the biggest show ever in Oman.”

Tickets go on sale on February 26, but fans can visit www.justinbieberoman.com now to register and receive pre-sale access 48 hours before they become publically available.
