Jude Law opens Dubai's hottest new nightclub

British actor and heartthrob Jude Law flew into Dubai on Sunday night to open Dubai’s hottest new nightclub, The Act Dubai, UAE daily Gulf News reported.

Dressed in a stylish grey suit and sporting a black tie, Jude Law managed to look dashing, despite the strict black tie dress code.

The red carpet event was held on the 42nd floor of Shangri-La Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road and also featured British model Jodie Kidd and club owner Simon Hammerstein. The elite club opens only once a week on Thursdays and accepts reservations, which are recommended to book in advance due to popular demand.

According to club owners, Act Dubai is not just a nightclub - it is a multi-dimensional platform of entertainment, featuring a classy restaurant offering Peruvian cuisine, which is the up and coming cuisine of the culinary world, the report said.

Hammerstein told Gulf News that nightclubs have offered a fine dining experience since the 80s and Act Dubai offers “fresh new flavours and unique tastes waiting to be discovered.”

Not only does the nightclub feature a restaurant, but also includes a theatre with acts by performers of various cultural diversities.

“Dubai has always sought the best of everything, whether it is the biggest fish tank or tallest building so now we feel it is about time to start building the culture and lifestyle, starting with the highest theatre in the world,” Hammerstein was quoted as saying.
