Dubai and Abu Dhabi public sector employees will receive their salaries early this year, following a government directive.
According to UAE state news agency WAM, local government, military and police employees in Abu Dhabi will receive their October salaries by October 21, under the directives of UAE President Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The move will allow employees to prepare for the Eid Al Adha celebration on October 26, the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Finance Department Hamad Al Hurr Al Suwaidi said.
Likewise, Dubai government employees will receive their salaries on October 21, as ordered by Shaikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE.
The Chairman of Dubai Finance Department, Abdul Rahman Al Saleh, said necessary measures are being implemented immediately to assure salaries will be transferred as directed.
